The Australian College of Kuwait Signs an Agreement with the Box Hill College
The Australian College of Kuwait signed an agreement with the Box Hill College,
equating the Diploma of Box Hill to one academic year in the Bachelor Program at ACK.
ACK stated that this letter of agreement was signed last week and has already been
put into application. Both the colleges share the principle of education and evaluation
based on efficiency, and such harmony facilitated the conclusion of this agreement
and the process of students’ transfer from Box Hill College to ACK.
While affirming that the provisions of this agreement shall be subject to revision once
every two years, it was revealed at the same time that Management or Engineering
students willing to transfer to ACK from Box Hill have to complete the diploma program
certified by the Private Universities Council of the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait.
At the agreement ceremony, signatories from ACK included the Chairman of the college,
Mr. Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al-Sharhan, and the President Professor Vishy Karri. Box Hill
representation included Chairman of the college, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Shayji,
Vice President Mr. Joe A. Al-Bayati, and Director of Academic Affairs Mr. Neil Riccardo.
ACK also stated that, since its inception six years ago, it has managed to offer its students
the ability to continue their Bachelor Degree after obtaining a Diploma. Thus, students now
have better and wider scale of choices, after the introduction of new programs in the fields
of Engineering and Management.
The college also affirmed that it is still working on building further auspice partnerships,
that will enhance the development of its relations with other international education
institutions for providing and securing high quality programs and degrees that are
internationally accredited.
