While the program includes some of the more generic management skills offered in the Diploma of Management, the focus of this program is very strongly on the development of a range of practical marketing skills. Areas covered will be selected from the following:

PRACTICAL TRAINING
This is achieved through role play and business simulation exercises designed around guidelines of Competency Based Learning. As these activities change each semester to maintain interest and keep the program up to date, full details will be outlined at the beginning of each semester.

Throughout the course there is ample opportunity for students to present their work to various audiences both internal and external. Two presentations of notes are.

Students are actively involved in every stage of planning a new business. A small
plaque is presented to the best three presentations.
Semester 4:
The E-Business
Solution Projects
Semester
4 students investigate an E-Business solution plan for a business and focus on business
a range of activities that provide practical learning experiences including:

Evaluation of websites
· EBusiness models
·
Value chain analysis
· Legal and ethical issues relating to the business
· Technical needs and expertise for business.
All EBusiness
projects are evaluated and students who have produced the top seven plans are invited
to present these to a panel of industry leaders. The panel includes HR Managers,
representatives from the banking, manufacturing and hospitality sectors, as well
as investment and finance experts.
The panel
provide the students with excellent feedback and advice on their business proposals.
