ACK Organizes Its First Educational Tour to Australia

Students from ACK had a special opportunity to be part of an Educational Tour to the ‘Land Down Under’ – Australia.  After months of planning and keen anticipation, the participants went to Australia on 19 May 2016 for their two week experience. The students were accompanied by two staff members: Ms. Johanne Flynn, Manager of Central Queensland University (CQU) Office; and Ms. Sara Al Jaber, Senior Officer- Learning Disabilities Support.

During their time in Australia, the students visited five extremely popular destinations: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Sydney and Hobart. The program included campus tours of ACK’s auspice partner, CQU in both Rockhampton and Brisbane as well as scenic tours, visits to museums and attractions.

Upon their return to Kuwait, students spoke highly of their experiences in Australia.  They had many stories, pictures and videos to share.  Their most popular activities and sightseeing included: Kayaking in Brisbane River, Dreamworld Theme Park in Gold Coast, CQU University Brisbane Tour, Sydney Opera House and Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
