ACK Refund Policy


The purpose of this policy is to provide a basis on which decisions can be made when a request for refund is received.

Application Fee

  • A non-refundable Application Fee is payable for all new student applications. The Application Fee is a fee in addition to the Tuition Fee shall be set prior to each application period being opened.


  • Applicants accepting an enrolment offer must pay a non-refundable deposit to secure their place in the program. This deposit must be paid by the date specified in the letter of offer or the offer will lapse. The minimum amount payable at time of enrolment is as indicated on our proposed Registration fees for all programs in ACK Website of the Tuition fees.
  • Applicants accepting an enrolment offer agree, that all fees incurred for all the units for which they are enrolled are considered as tuition fees for the semester.

Refund of Tuition Fees

  • Refunds of tuition fees only, are applicable to a registered student who has withdrawn from one or more units prior to the census date after deducting the non-refundable Registration Fee.
  • A Full refund of the amount paid is due to the student if the unit or program is cancelled by ACK.
  • Students eligible for a refund are those who fulfil the following criteria:
    • Current student
    • Paid a non-refundable registration fee
    • Have no previous or current outstanding balances or amounts
    • Have withdrawn prior to the census date
  • Partial Refund, if applicable, is 40% of the total tuition fees paid at the time of withdrawal having deducted the Non Refundable registration fee. The amount of the refund is indicated on the fee schedules subject to the payments being made.

English Placement Test

  • English placement Test Fees or any Placement Tests are non-refundable.


  • Students who have been approved to defer and have paid an amount exceeding the Non Refundable Registration Fee will be liable to roll over the remaining amount to the next semester as per Student Deferral Policy (ACK.PL.AR.2015). No Cash refund will be accepted. In case the deferred students fail to register for the next semester, the remaining amount will not be rolled over for an extra semester.

Transfer of payments

  • Payments made in any given semester may not be transferred to another student except for sibling students.

Payment of Refunds

  • On notification of withdrawal and where a request for refund of Tuition fees is approved, and, the required documents have been provided, payment of refunds will normally be made by ACK within 4 weeks after receipt of the approval of the withdrawal.
