ACK Mechanical Engineering Students Design & Manufacture Go-Karts

42 Mechanical Engineering Diploma students have successfully fabricated 7 fully-functional Go-Karts as part of their graduation project. Throughout the process, students had to learn and adhere to the college’s strict health and safety guidelines while applying techniques such as cutting, welding and drilling. The Go-Karts were then tested on various performance parameters including acceleration, braking and endurance, followed by a race held on campus.

ACK Awards Scholarships to High-Achievers

​ACK has awarded six scholarships to high-achieving Diploma students with full-tuition for a single semester. ACK extends the merit scholarship award to new and existing Diploma students with outstanding academic qualifications in recognition of their hard work, efforts and perseverance. Each semester, the college invites high achieving students to apply for this academic scholarship whereby recipients are selected by the ACK scholarship committee. ACK Receives “Engineers Australia” Accreditation for its School of Engineering Programs

The curriculum used at ACK is distinguished for its project-based learning approach where students work closely with market specialists on specific projects throughout their study. The aim of the curriculum is to equip graduates with integrated technical and theoretical knowledge. Such empowerment enhances the level of student interest and motivation and leads to in-depth learning, thus enabling ACK students to have preference in employment opportunities in the Kuwaiti market.

Professor Mohamad Terro appointed as ACK’s New President

ACK has welcomed Professor Mohamad Jamil Terro as its new President at the start of 2014. Professor Terro is well known for his achievements in various academic committees within Kuwait University, his role as the Chairman of the Technical Engineering Committee at the Private Universities Council (PUC), as well as his membership in the Accreditation Committee. ACK would like to wish Professor Terro great success in providing more honorable contributions to the Kuwaiti society through his new appointment.
