ACK Business Students Win “Best Student Company of 2014” and “Best Social Impact of the Year”

ACK Business Students Win “Best Student Company of 2014” and “Best Social Impact of the Year”

Students from ACK‘s School of Business won “Best Student Company of the Year 2014”and “Best Social Impact of the Year”, among 20 other student companies who participated in the INJAZ-Kuwait “7th National Company Program”, for their project entitled “Skraab”. The competition challenges students to create a real start-up business, from developing a business plan and raising capital, producing and selling products, to finally liquidating the company.
“Skraab” is a concept that specializes in recycling car parts from scrap material into a range of furniture pieces and custom-designed products, such as coffee tables, lounge chairs and lamps, designed and built by ACK students.

The student companies were judged by a panel of high-profile local business leaders from the private sector. Winners were selected based on the presentation of their companies, products and services, as well as their performance during a set of interviews conducted by the panel throughout the two-day event. Congratulations to “Skraab” and all of our other students who participated!
