The Australian College of Kuwait’s Students Raise Money for Kuwait’s Charities

Business Management Diploma students at the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) capped off the end of their semester with the “ACK Cares Fundraising Exhibition”. The students raised an amount in excess of KD 1,500. As of date, the Business Management Diploma program and its students have managed to raise an excess of KD 4,100/- over the past 2 years.

“Rabaa Al Hajri” ACK student represents Kuwait in the “Dubai Summer Surprises” Internship Program

Rabaa Al Hajri, an Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) student in the Marketing Management Degree program, was chosen out of 20 nominees from local universities to be Kuwait’s only representative in the coveted destination-marketing internship of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). Rabaa had the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team responsible for successfully staging DSS, attended workshops and met leading players responsible for building the” Destination Dubai” brand.

The Australian College of Kuwait Victorious in the “PetroBowl” Competition

Students from the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) – School of Engineering – were the big winners of the first “PetroBowl” competition, a fast paced quiz competition whereby students from ACK and Kuwait University (KU) were challenged to answer both technical and non technical questions associated with the oil and gas industry. Organized by The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the panel of judges was comprised of distinguished members from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Halliburton and SPE.

The Australian College of Kuwait’s Students Visit the Kuwait Stock Exchange

The Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) organized a visit to the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) for its English students of the Foundation Skills Program. The aim of the visit was to familiarize ACK students with the bourse, types of stock markets and techniques of trading in securities, stocks and bonds, while further enhancing the students’ use of English business terminology in a physical environment. This experience will be of major benefit to the students once they have transferred into their Business Diploma and Degree programs as they will need to apply these terms throughout their education and in their future careers.
