Official Australian Parliamentary Delegation Visits ACK

ACK recently hosted an official delegation consisting of Australian Parliamentary members. Headed by the Honorable Teresa Gambaro MP, Federal Member for Brisbane, the delegation comprised of members of the Joint Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade, together with His Excellency, Mr. Warren Hauck – Australian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, and Mr. Jack Hajjar, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy.

The delegation was received by ACK’s Chairman – Mr. Abdullah Al-Sharhan – and President – Prof. Mohamad Terro – at its campus, whereby the visitors were given a presentation on ACK’s teaching model which stems from Australia’s educational focus on vocational, hands-on learning, and preparing graduates for the labor market. The delegates were then given a tour of ACK’s state-of-the-art workshops, labs and aviation hangar which houses a live Boeing 737 aircraft.

The visit is representative of the continuous and successful relationship between ACK and the nation of Australia over the College’s past 11 years since its inception.
