An over-load is defined in the Student Academic Load Policy (çinsert as a link). A student is eligible for an over-load under the following circumstances:
- If the student has earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50/4.00;
- If the student requires an over-load to graduate in the academic semester requested;
- If the student is taking a course with a lab component (applicable for 19 credits only).
How to request an overload
Eligible students seeking an over-load must make a request using the Academic Load Increase Request Form (çadd link) at least 5 days before the last day of the published Add period and obtain the approval of their Academic Advisor.
A student who is granted an over-load continues to be bound by ACK’s all academic policies. Even if the request for a load increase is approved, registration in the requested courses will be conditional and subject to class availability.
Tuitions fees associated with an over-load are determined in accordance with ACK’s fee structure and relevant financial policies.
