The following information applies to all students who are enrolled from September 2014 onwards in programs offered by School of Engineering and School of Business including students in the English Language Program.
Grading Rules for English Language Program
The below grading notations are used for students in the English Language Programs for cohorts commencing anytime:
Honors (H) |
The student has passed the course with an overall grade of 80% or above. |
P |
The student has passed the course with an overall grade of 65% to 79%. |
R |
The student has received an overall grade of 64% or below. The student needs to repeat the course. |
PE-S |
Pass. IELTS or TOEFL certificate submitted after Census Date. |

ACK uses the following grading scale and rules for all students who are enrolled from September 2014 onwards in programs offered by School of Engineering and School of Business. Students should refer to the Grading Policy (çinsert as a link) (ACK.PL.VPAC.05) for complete information.

Grade is assigned when work is not completed because of approved documented illness or other emergency. If grade I is not completed within two weeks of the following semester, it is automatically changed to F (Fail).

The following grade notations are not calculated in the GPA:
CT Credit Transfer. Credit awarded in the course for previous accredited study.
W Withdrawn.
WS Withdrawal due to Suspension after Census Date for violating the Code of Integrity or Student Code of Conduct.
WE Withdrawal due to Expulsion after Census Date for violating the Code of Integrity or Student Code of Conduct.
